Firstly, apologies for the distinct lack of posts in recent months – late 2011 and early 2012 have been rather hectic, but I am confident I will get back on track! The blog has now been moved over to this new location – and functions as an integral section of my new website, so please do change your bookmarks accordingly, and pass the new address onto interested friends and colleagues.
In this first blog for sometime, I simply want to give you access to an article I wrote for SportEX dynamic journal which discusses the problems I have with the term ‘overpronation’ and why I feel it has absolutely no place in medical literature, terminology or our daily clinical lives, and should subsequently be completely abandoned.
This article is published in the April 2012 edition of the journal, which subscribers will be receiving within the next week. Here for you is a full online version of the article in advance:
Overpronation: Accurate or Parachronistic terminology?
As always, I welcome your thoughts, comments and criticisms. I also encourage you to consider subscribing to SportEX – it represents superb value for money and covers some very interesting topics. More details can be found on the SportEX website.
